We are excited to currently be hosting two interns from the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources at our research camp in Botswana and so we are going to give them the opportunity to introduce themselves.
My name is Boikago Ophinah Mbi, a second-year range science student at the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
I am currently in Khumaga, with Elephants for Africa as a research intern for my 6 weeks Field Practical Training. I came here with the intention of learning about the interrelationship between locals and the wild animals living near the Boteti River and how the animals coexist with each other. Moreover, I am looking forward to finding out the different species living in the Boteti region.
I am excited to hear about the different solutions that the people of this area have come up with to help deal with problems/obstacles caused by wild animals. I’m very excited to see elephants and other wild animals in Makgadikgadi-Nxai Pans National Park and to experience the outdoor lifestyle.
